Top Shop Skate Comp 2012- 3rd Lair Skatepark
The Big Top, The Desk Top, the Mountain Top, Carrot Top, all these things dwarf in comparison to the 3rd lairs “Top Shop”. The annual shop competition, that houses the most beastly and talented shop skaters the U.S. has to offer, and pits them against each other in a skate battle royale. It is the Top Shops 10th year anniversary and the BC skate team is there to celebrate it and annihilate it . This year many shop kids came, but few succeeded; the competition welcomed 20 teams but at the end of the second day (May 5th) only 8 teams survived, and standing in the 5th bracket is yours truly..team BC!
Here is a quote from BC‘s team manager Matt Reeves, giving us a recap and highlights of team BC’s second day.
“We made it to the finals. We came in 5th overall out of 20 teams. Tyson Browerbank came in 4th overall. All the guys had to do a solo one minute run today which was worth 1/3 of their total score and a 5 minute jam which included 4 riders from other teams which was worth the 2/3rd’s. Only 8 teams make in to the finals and with us being the 5th seed. Tomorrow morning we go head to head against the 4th seed. Wish us luck!”
